1. How WriteTutor.ai Works

WriteTutor.ai is an educational platform designed to help children in grades 4-6 develop writing skills through AI-guided storytelling and argumentative writing experiences. Our service operates on a parent-first approach:

  • Parents create their own accounts and verify their email
  • Parents then create profiles for their children
  • Parents can switch to "Student Mode" to allow their children to use the platform

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

  • From parents: Email address
  • About children: Name and grade level
  • During platform use: Stories, essays, and other writing content created by children, usage data, and learning progress

We do not collect more information than is reasonably necessary for participation in our writing activities.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information collected from children for the following purposes only:

  • To provide personalized learning experiences and writing guidance
  • To facilitate interactions with our AI writing tutor
  • To track learning progress and share it with parents

We do not use children's information for advertising purposes or sell it to third parties.

4. Parental Consent

We obtain verifiable parental consent in the following ways:

  • Email verification during parent account creation
  • Explicit consent confirmation when a child's profile is created

By creating a child profile, you as the parent or legal guardian are providing consent for us to collect and use your child's information as described in this policy.

5. Your Rights as a Parent

As a parent or legal guardian, you have the right to:

  • Review all information we have collected from your child
